App Description
In appreciation of Spring (in the northern hemisphere) and Fall (in the southern), AyeTides is on sale! For a limited time AyeTides is $2 off! Hurry, this price will not last long! For the iPad, check out AyeTides XL! Designed specifically for the iPad, it features a calendar, a map for selecting stations, and more!
AyeTides displays tides and currents (also known as tidal streams) for nearly 10,000 stations worldwide (see note). It does not require the Internet; all the stations are available at a moment's notice.
Choose a station alphabetically, geographically, or near your location. Set up your favorite stations, or pick a recently opened station.
See the value now and the day's tides in a summary table, or by rotating the iPhone/iPod Touch, as a graph. Move from day to day by swiping left or right. Find out sun and moon times via the Information view. Jump over to Maps to see where the station is located.
AyeTides automatically compensates for the station's local time, and for Daylight Savings (Summer) Time.
Please note! Current stations (aka tidal stream stations) are predominately in the United States, and are limited to estuaries, bays, channels, passages, harbors, and some fixed structures. Not all the stations listed by NOAA are available. Ocean currents are not part of the database, as they are based upon models and not measurements. Tides are not available in the Baltic due to a lack of data for that region.
