What's NewWe are now compatible with the new iOS 7 look.
For iOS 6 and above, we've added a new month view that lets you scroll quickly through the days.
We can now print to AirPrint-compatible printers.
We're in the process of adding current (tidal-stream) stations in Europe.
App DescriptionAyeTides displays tides or currents (also known as tidal streams) for over 10,000 stations worldwide (but not at the same time; the two station types are distinct and separate). The program does not require access to the Internet to operate; all the stations are available at a moment's notice.
Choose a station alphabetically, geographically, or near your location. Set up your favorite stations, or select from recently opened stations.
Some of what the app can do: see the current tide value as well as the day's tides in a summary table, or as a graph by simply rotating the device. Move easily from day to day with a swipe. See the sun and moon rise and set times. Set a marker to see when the tide or current will reach that value. And more!
AyeTides automatically compensates for the station's local time, and for Daylight Savings (Summer) Time.
AyeTides is designed for the iPhone & iPod; however it does run on the iPad. iPad users should look at AyeTides XL, which was designed specifically for the iPad. Because of the larger screen, the XL version has additional features including a calendar, a map for selecting stations, and more! And remember, the XL version does not run on the iPhone.
Please note! Current stations (aka tidal stream stations) are predominately in the United States, and are limited to estuaries, bays, channels, passages, harbors, and some fixed structures. Not all the stations listed by NOAA are available,. Ocean currents are not part of the database, as they are based upon models and not measurements. Tides are not available in the Baltic due to a lack of data for that region.
