In theory when the system works it ok. But it works 40% of the time. But I’ve owned my apt 15 years and I have had go down more time in the last six months to let people in because system wasn’t working. Complete nightmare for any tenant. This system NEVER works. It was installed in our building in the West Village. Now our packages never arrive. Delivery guys get frustrated so our food can never get delivered. Our doorbell rings but only long after someone tries to buzz – reason is it relies on the cell networks and cell coverage – so spotty service means your doorbell can never ring. When we asked how such a crappy system was installed in our historic building, we were told it was given for free to the management company. If you get this crap for free – you are overpaying! All tenant have a similar experience.
