Learn about the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York.

This app highlights features of the new hospital and gives users an augmented reality experience as they learn about the new Oishei Children’s Hospital. As part of Kaleida Health, the largest, most comprehensive health care system in the region, the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is the Western New York Regional Center for specialized pediatric and women’s health care. It has achieved national recognition and is ranked among the top 20 pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Most recently, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was renovated and expanded, as was the Emergency Medicine Department, making WCHOB one of the most modern and advanced specialty hospitals of its kind.

With an increasing focus on women’s medicine WCHOB has emerged as a regional center of excellence in pediatric and women’s medicine. It is a modern pediatric acute care and emergency care center offering a full range of medical and surgical services for children, as well as comprehensive women’s health services. It can accommodate 160 children, including medical/surgical, ICU and neonatal patients, and 40 adult maternity patients. Nearly 14,000 patients are admitted annually, and 123,000 patients are treated in the Emergency Department or one of the hospital’s other 45 specialty clinics.
