App Description
This App has been produced to provide parents of children who play competitive tennis a straightforward introduction to performance improvement statistics.
Don’t worry, it is not essential for the person using the App to have a detailed knowledge of the inner workings or language of tennis. The App has been designed to help bring the player, parent and coach to a far better mutual understanding of how well the player is doing.
As the scoring of points is already taken care of by the players and referees during tournaments, this App allows parents to focus on the straightforward accumulation of critical performance statistics that can then be sent on via email to the player’s coach as soon a tournament has finished.
The statistics produced by the App include performance results that you often see on television during a professional game, for example the overall ratio of points won to errors made. However, the App can also record the results of how well a player has performed against personal improvement goals that have been set by their coach, for example how calm they remain during a match.
Players might like to review interim statistics as they progress through a tournament to help them make critical short term adjustments to their game. They can also discuss the results with their coach when they next meet up in order to determine their most important next development steps.
