App Description

Hagi Heritage (a Hagi City official application) is an application that takes you around the Hagi Reverberatory Furnace and the other four World Heritage Sites.
There are images that help you understand the general features of the Heritage Sites and computer graphics showing what they looked like when they were in use.
■ Explanatory Images
Images with easy-to-understand explanations of Hagi’s five World Heritage Sites. You will learn of the relationship between the five sites and their historical background.
■ Hagi Reverberatory Furnace
You can learn about the reverberatory furnace. You can also see images re-created by computer graphics.
■ Ohitayama Tatara Iron Works
The way the tatara was when it was operating at the end of the Edo Period has been re-created in a 360º computer graphics image.
■ Ebisugahana Shipyard
You can learn about ships built at the end of the Edo Period and the way things were at the time through pictures and explanatory text.
■ Hagi Castle Town
You can see old maps of Castle Town and learn what Hagi Castle was like at the time through pictures and explanatory text.
■ Shokasonjuku Academy
You can learn about Shokasonjuku Academy students (the Chōshū Five) and what the Academy was like at the time through pictures, photographs, and explanatory text.
