Visuals (or pictures) are a great tool to support understanding. Visual supports allow individuals the time they need to process task demands and clarify expectations. They are a concrete, tangible, form of communication and are not fleeting – like spoken or signed communication. Another benefit of visual supports is that they can be sequenced to breakdown a task or routine in smaller steps. Visuals help to support learning and execution and can ultimately help to contribute to an individual’s independence and self esteem.

The Teleroo™ Visual Supports App is a clinically informed and family tested app designed to help individuals to complete daily routines, understand expectations and consequences (first-then, if-then), and support their emotional regulation. This app is designed for individuals and caregivers to provide clear and consistent support to foster independence, understand expectations, and improve coping skills in the home and community.

The Teleroo™ Visual Supports App allows users to customize, save, and reuse visuals (with names, real-life photos, and custom alerts). Custom visual supports can be made in seconds using photos in the user’s environment along with custom alerts, such as their own voice or the voice of a parent, caregiver, or teacher.
