As one of the Chiranjivi he is also mentioned in several other texts, including Mahabharata, the various Puranas and some Jain texts. Lord Hanuman participated in Rama's war against the demon king Ravana. He is strong, full of valour, with various skills and powers. At the same time , he is wise, a great gnani, a yogi, a brahmachari. He had the one thought only - that of serving his Lord Rama with utmost humility and devotion. He is known as Siriya Thiruvadi.
