Award-winning satirical series about Gillian Romero, who dreams of creating her own comics, but must battle villains, bureaucrats, and one mysterious talking machine in her comic book world. She is alternately helped and foiled by her aspiring superhero roommate Pete Kirby, aka Captain Freelance, who dreams of joining the Heroes Guild of America. Once the villains learn their mad machine has fallen into Gillian's lap, they will do anything to regain their weapon and destroy the unknowing heroes.
