App Description

Smartphones and modern information technology influence all areas of modern live. Social contacts and mutual help can be organized more easily thanks to modern technology. REVOLUTION significantly contributes to bringing people together to exchange help:

- connects volunteers and help requestors in real time
- displays help requests / help offerings on a map
- simple procedure to agree on assistance

Everybody can join anytime. The usability has been validated by elderly people.
The app provides a smart selection of appropriate volunteers. There is a mutual rating of users to identify black sheep.
The app runs on all major mobile platforms and tablets.

The innovative approach was developed within an AAL-Program (www.aal-europe.eu, EU Program to support active and assisted living for elderly people). REVOLUTION breaks new ground to fit demand and supply of voluntary work. Individual tasks are placed online and shown in real-time on a map. Volunteers apply for tasks and help requestors choose between applicants. Upon selection, both parties communicate directly via phone, text message or WhatsApp.
