App Description

Uvemaster is a computer-assisted system to the diagnosis of uveitis, developed from a research of a dissertation that was special award in 1996-1997 by the Complutense University of Madrid, and whose authorship and intellectual property belongs to Dr. José Antonio Gegúndez Fernández. He is an ophthalmologist specialist in uveitis and ocular surface in San Carlos Hospital and associate professor of ophthalmology at the Complutense University of Madrid, together with the other co-authors listed below and working at the same service.
Uvemaster has a mathematical algorithm by which any doctor can make a differential diagnosis approach to the patient with uveitis. The user only has to mark the clinical signs, both present and absent, according to the defined criteria. The original tool was built on different programs database (FileMaker, dBase IV and Access), and the challenge was to turn it into a native iOS app, simple and easy to use.
Uvemaster has been created, developed and updated continuously during the period 1992-2016. It has been subject to various scientific publications and exposed in numerous scientific meetings, symposiums and national and international congresses.
