What's New

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

- support for iOS 9.1

App Description

In this simulation of a spring pendulum a mass is attached to two springs. You can touch the mass and move it out of its stable position. Or you can tilt your iOS device and watch gravity work. At all times you can alter the damping (k), the flexibility of the spring (D) and the mass of the steel ball (m). Take some time and play around with these parameters to become an expert in harmonic and not so harmonic oscillations. If you have found an interesting one, tap the graph button to record the displacement over the time. Tap the info button to enable or disable gravity and to export graphs into your photo library. Have fun learning physics!

Use the app completely on your own risk and for educational purposes only. The simulation is an approximation. It might be wrong and different from reality.
