Posted by 148Apps Staff on April 25th, 2016
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Ace of Arenas is a mobile MOBA that's been built from the ground up with its chosen platform in mind.

For a start, the touchscreen controls don't try and simulate mouse play. So, instead of tapping the screen to move your character and use your skills, you use your thumb and perform a series of swipes.

It's also much faster in pace thanks to the new Fast and Furious Mode, which grants you super buffs and increased movement speed to ensure matches last under 10 minutes.

We reached out to Gaea Mobile's Jason Dahlberg to learn more about the development of Ace of Arenas, and how the developer managed to so successfully port the MOBA experience onto mobile.

Here's what happened when we raided our favourite Nintendo games using Miitomo's Miifoto

Posted by Matt Suckley on April 22nd, 2016
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Miitomo's great, but let's be honest: it can't compete with Facebook and Twitter as a social network.

Where it comfortably beats all competitors, however, is in that special Nintendo charm it possesses. Miifoto is the best example of this. A light photo editing element in which you can stick Miis in odd situations atop real photos or pre-made backgrounds.

To highlight this, and for our own amusement, we plundered Nintendo's legendary back catalogue and got to work on invading classic games with some Miis.

Nintendo may be moving into the present day with its mobile output, but it's doing so with the same spirit that's led to such glorious successes throughout the years - and that shouldn't be forgotten either.

The new content is only available until the 24th of April, so with that deadline looming, we thought we'd pick out the best updates to focus your time on while you can.
