Still Playing Blood Brothers 2? Good, Because Now it has Guilds and Special Events

Our rating: starstarstarblankstarblankstar :: AN AGGRAVATING RELATIVE :: Read Review »

Blood Brothers 2is DeNA's follow-up to their popular strategy RPG of the same name (minus the "2"), and it's just been updated with a bunch of new stuff. New stuff like player guilds and special daily events.

Guilds let players team-up for all sorts of benefits. Along with in-game chat to help members communicate, mastery levels can be pooled and shared with all guildies, any in-app purchases made by a guild member will bestow gifts to every other guild member, and newcomers can begin to enjoy the shared upgrades as soon as they join.

The new special events, on the other hand, include things like daily bonus stages that give players the chance to earn rare items, specially-themed daily packs for everyone to purchse, and treasure boxes containing random rewards will drop whenever players complete a stage.

All of these features are live right now, and you can grab Blood Brothers 2 off the App Store for free to check them out.

The Apple Watch isn't Great as a Fitness Tracker, but it has Potential

Posted by Jennifer Allen on May 21st, 2015

As someone keen on wearable technology encouraging me to get fit, it felt a little too easy to be cynical about the Apple Watch before getting my hands on one. The battery life sounded poor, it looked kind of bulky, and the lack of built-in GPS made me wonder why I’d want one to go alongside my iPhone. Those issues aren’t miraculously solved, but it turns out the Apple Watch has grown on me a lot already in my short time with it. There are a few good reasons for that, partly due to stock apps and partly due to some of my old favorites.

The Ascension Update is Taichi Panda's second expansion and is out now

Posted by Rob Rich on May 21st, 2015

The Ascension Update is the title of Taichi Panda's second major expansion, which is out now and includes an increased level cap, two more story chapters, and a new Mega Boss event.

Taichi Panda is a hack-and-slasher in which you battle your way through a variety of challenging dungeons as either a panda martial artist, a muscular warrior, a dextrous treasure hunter, or a powerful fox mage.

The Ascension Update raises the level cap to 90 and challenges you to complete two new higher-difficulty story chapters that pick up right where the previous expansion left off.

Higher-levelled players will also earn new gear and skills on their way to the new level cap but that doesn't mean lower-levelled players miss out. The new equipment discovery system allows players of level 64 and over to use Refinement Stones and Lunar Tears to increase the quality of their orange gear.

Refinement Stones and Lunar Tears are rewards for completing both the new levels and server-wide Mega Boss battle. This teams you up with all of your fellow server heroes against Nemeus, a nightmare-ish monster from the deep.

Also included is a brand new outfit for each hero and two new pets, Wise Dory and Nami.

The Ascension Update is out right now so head on over to the App Store [download], Google Play [download], and the Amazon App Store [download] to get your claws on Taichi Panda.

[Want to know if it’s worth investing your time in Earthcore? Check out our review]

At first glance, Earthcore: Shattered Elements seems like a rather simple card-battling game. Once you’re introduced to skills that will change quite a bit. Even more so once you start to acquire hero cards. But it’s not so complicated that we couldn’t put together a beginner’s guide for all you Earthcore neophytes.
